    How it works

    Methodology & formulas

This calculator is transparent by design. Review the steps and formulas so you can trust the estimate and adjust assumptions when your dashboard differs.

    Calculation steps

    1. 1Buyer total = gigPrice + extrasRevenue.
    2. 2Fiverr fee = buyer total × commission%.
    3. 3Your revenue = buyer total − fee.
    4. 4Total hours = estimatedHoursPerGig + revisions + adminTimeHours.
    5. 5Effective hourly = yourRevenue ÷ totalHours when totalHours > 0.
    6. 6After-expenses hourly = effective hourly − monthlyExpenses as per-order cost.

    Formulas

    • BuyerTotal = gigPrice + extrasRevenue
    • FiverrFee = buyerTotal × fee%
    • YourRevenue = buyerTotal − fee
    • TotalHours = hours + revisions + admin
    • EffectiveHourly = yourRevenue ÷ totalHours
    • AfterExpenses = effectiveHourly − monthlyExpenses

    Important assumptions

    • Total buyer price equals gig price plus average extras revenue per order.
    • Fiverr fee equals buyer total times commission percent.
    • Total hours combine estimated gig hours, revision hours, and admin hours.
    • Effective hourly divides your revenue after Fiverr by total hours.
    • After-expenses hourly subtracts per-order monthly expenses spread you enter.
    • Does not include withdrawal fees or taxes unless added to per-order expenses.

    Worked example

    $50 gig with realistic time

$50 base plus $15 extras, 2 hours production, 0 revisions average, 0.5 admin, 20% fee.

Buyer total $65, Fiverr $13, your revenue $52, total hours 2.5, effective hourly $20.80. Add $5 per-order expense average and after-expenses drops to $15.80. To reach $35 per hour you need buyer total about $109.50 for same 2.5 hours, roughly a $75 base plus $35 extras strategy.
