Etsy Bundle Calculator

Bundles increase average order value but have different fee and shipping math than single-item sales. Enter up to three items with individual prices and costs, your bundle discount, and combined versus separate shipping to see buyer savings, bundle profit, and whether the bundle actually earns more than selling items individually.

    How it works

    Methodology & formulas

This calculator is transparent by design. Review the steps and formulas so you can trust the estimate and adjust assumptions when your dashboard differs.

    Calculation steps

    1. 1individualItemsTotal = item1Price + item2Price + (item3Price if >0).
    2. 2bundlePrice = individualItemsTotal × (1 − bundleDiscount%/100).
    3. 3buyerSaves = individualItemsTotal − bundlePrice.
    4. 4bundleRevenue = bundlePrice + shippingCharged.
    5. 5bundleEtsyFees = bundleRevenue × (txn%+proc%)/100 + processingFixed + listingFee.
    6. 6individualFees approximate: for each priced item, (price + shippingWithoutBundle/numItems) × rate + processingFixed + listingFee per item.
    7. 7bundleProductCosts = sum itemCosts.
    8. 8bundleNetProfit = bundleRevenue − bundleEtsyFees − bundleProductCosts − packagingCost.
    9. 9individualNetProfit = individualRevenueTotal − individualFees − productCosts − packagingCost × numItems.
    10. 10bundleProfitAdvantage = bundleNetProfit − individualNetProfit.

    Formulas

    • individualTotal = item1 + item2 + item3
    • bundlePrice = individualTotal × (1 − discount%)
    • bundleRevenue = bundlePrice + shippingBundle
    • bundleFees = bundleRevenue × rate + fixed + listing
    • individualFees = Σ (price + shippingSplit)×rate + fixed + listing per item
    • bundleProfit = bundleRevenue − bundleFees − productCosts − packaging
    • individualProfit = individualRevenue − individualFees − productCosts − packaging×n
    • advantage = bundleProfit − individualProfit

    Important assumptions

    • Bundle listing uses one listing fee and one processing fixed fee versus three separate fees for individual sales.
    • Individual separate sales model assumes each item ships separately with its share of shippingWithoutBundle split evenly for fees, and packaging cost multiplied per order.
    • Product costs are identical whether bundled or separate — only packaging, shipping, and fees differ.
    • Third item is optional; 0 price and cost means a 2-item bundle.
    • Etsy percentage fees apply to (price + shipping charged) per normal Etsy fee base.

    Worked example

    2 items $14.99 each, 10% bundle

    Item1 $14.99 cost $5, Item2 $14.99 cost $5. Individual total $29.98, bundle 10% off = $26.98. Bundle shipping $6.99 vs separate total $13.47 shipping charged. Packaging $2.50 bundle.

Buyer saves $3. Individual profit from 2 separate sales about $14 to $15 after 2× packaging and fees. Bundle profit about $16 to $17 because you save one packaging and processing fee and charge less shipping than separate total. Bundle advantage roughly $1 to $2 plus faster fulfillment.
