Printful vs Printify: Bella Canvas 3001 Profit at $25, $30, $35

Printful vs Printify: Bella Canvas 3001 Profit at $25, $30, $35

What you keep at $25, $30, and $35

This page is the profit comparison, not the current Bella + Canvas 3001 cost list. Under the same Printful Free scenario used in the cost guide ($11.69 product, $4.75 U.S. standard shipping passed through), the simplified net is $12.15 at $25, $17.00 at $30, and $21.86 at $35 after a 2.9% + $0.30 processing term. Those figures are not Etsy profit. Marketplace fees still sit outside this model.

The comparison uses one formula at every price so only the selling price changes. Printify stays a provider-specific quote, not an average shirt cost.

Source check: The source check was completed August 22, 2026. The verified Printful Free example uses a Bella + Canvas 3001, product price $11.69, one U.S. standard shipment at $4.75, and a customer-paid shipping charge of $4.75 passed through to the provider. Figures are illustrative, in USD, and exclude taxes and duties.

Use one formula for every price

When the customer pays $4.75 shipping and the seller passes that amount through, use: simplified net = retail price + customer-paid shipping - product cost - provider shipping - [2.9% × (retail price + customer-paid shipping) + $0.30].

This is a provider and payment-processing illustration. It does not claim to be an Etsy net because it leaves out:

    • marketplace transaction and listing charges
    • offsite ads
    • refunds
    • taxes
    • duties
    • packaging
    • labor
    • any monthly plan allocation

    Printful Free example

    Printful Free example
Retail price Customer shipping Processing term Simplified net
    $25.00 $4.75 $1.16 $12.15
    $30.00 $4.75 $1.31 $17.00
    $35.00 $4.75 $1.45 $21.86

    The $25 example is visible in full: $25.00 + $4.75 - $11.69 - $4.75 - [2.9% × ($25.00 + $4.75) + $0.30] = approximately $12.15. The $30 and $35 results use the same product cost, shipping, and formula. Only the retail price changes.

    Absorbing shipping at $30

    If the seller advertises free shipping on a $30 item and absorbs the same $4.75 provider charge, customer-paid shipping is $0. The same simplified model becomes $30.00 - $11.69 - $4.75 - [2.9% × $30.00 + $0.30] = approximately $12.39.

That result is lower than the $30 price with shipping passed through because the seller gives up the $4.75 shipping revenue. It still excludes marketplace fees and the other costs listed above.

How to model Printful Growth and Printify

Printful Growth costs $24.99 per month and discounts product pricing, but this guide does not publish a Growth product price or shipping rate. Enter the product and shipping values shown for your selected account. Add a monthly plan allocation only when the current plan fee and a stated monthly order forecast are both known.

Printify Free is $0 per month. Printify Premium is $39 per month monthly or $24.99 per month annually, with up to 33% product and branding discount. For Printify, leave the product price as an explicit provider, variant, plan, and date-specific input. Named Monster Digital and SwiftPOD U.S. standard examples use $4.75 for the first item and $2.40 for each additional item. Do not replace an unknown product quote with an average.

What to enter when you test a price

Enter retail price, customer-paid shipping, provider product cost, provider shipping, payment-processing rate, and fixed processing charge. Then add any marketplace fee, listing fee, ad spend, packaging, returns, taxes, duties, labor, or monthly plan allocation that applies to your actual sale. Keep a dated note beside each provider quote.

    Use the calculators

Test the provider side in the Printful Profit Calculator or Printify Profit Calculator. Use the Printful Pricing Calculator or Printify Pricing Calculator when the question is what to charge. For the full landed-cost scenario, read the Bella + Canvas 3001 cost guide. The Printful hub and Printify hub collect the matching tools.

    FAQs

Is $12.15 an Etsy profit result?

No. It is the Printful Free provider and payment-processing illustration shown above. Etsy transaction, listing, advertising, tax, duty, refund, and other seller costs need separate inputs before an Etsy result can be calculated.

Why does the result rise by about $4.85 for each $5 price step?

The formula applies a 2.9% processing rate to retail plus customer-paid shipping, so a $5 retail increase leaves about $4.85 after that percentage. The provider product and shipping inputs stay fixed in this illustration.

What product price should I use for Printful Growth?

Use the current price shown for your selected Bella + Canvas 3001 variant and print setup in the Growth account. The monthly plan price is known, but a universal discounted product price is not established by this scenario.

Can I compare Printify Premium with the Printful example?

Yes, if you keep the shirt, print setup, destination, currency, and date comparable. Enter the actual Printify provider and variant quote, then add the plan allocation only when your plan fee and expected order volume are stated.
